The "サッカーベット User Meeting 2022" was held jointly by Allied Engineering Co., Ltd. and SCSK Corporation. This year, in consideration of the impact of COVID-19, and to prioritize the safety of all participants, the meeting was held online.

サッカーベット is a domestically developed large-scale parallel structural analysis system developed by Allied Engineering Co., Ltd., a member of the SCSK Group, based on the results of the ADVENTURE Project (To develop large-scale computational mechanics systems for design, a country program of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) ).

It was the 14th user meeting, and featured a keynote speech from Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., as well as presentations of advanced use cases from Polyplastics Co., Ltd.; Honda Foundry Co., Ltd.; Toyo Seikan Group Holdings, Ltd. and Toshiba Corporation (company names are listed in order of presentation). In addition, a full range of contents was presented, including an introduction to the latest topics from SCSK Corporation and the announcement of the latest version from Allied Engineering Co., Ltd., the developer.

Keynote Speech: “Efforts to Improve サッカーベット Environment for Utilizing CAE in Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd.”

Yamaha Motor has used CAE for many years to address development issues, and positioned it as a point solution.

Under サッカーベット recent circumstance of global environmental changes represented by CN(carbon neutral), CAE is being regarded as an important tool for development ability,; in this presentation, サッカーベット cases of efforts to improve サッカーベット environment for utilizing CAE were presented.

User Case Study Presentation ① "Study of void prediction technology for resin molded products using サッカーベット"

Polyplastics Co., Ltd. deals in resin molded products. Voids may form near thick sections of resin products depending on the molding conditions and product shape, which affect products’ lifespan depending on their position and size. Recently, with the popularization of non-destructive observation equipment such as X-ray CT, it has become more easier to detect voids, and there is an increasing demand to control them. This presentation introduced a case of technology for predicting void control effects due to product thickness and gates runners by using サッカーベット.

User Case Study Presentation ② "Coupling analysis case of numerical optimization software and サッカーベット"

The quality of casting products is greatly affected by the mold temperature. By reproducing the actual mold temperature in the analysis, it is possible to solve problems through feedback analysis. Honda Foundry Co., Ltd. achieved highly efficient analysis by automating heat transfer calculations using サッカーベット.

This presentation introduced the coupling analysis case of heat transfer calculations using the numerical optimization software modeFRONTIER and サッカーベット.

User Case Study Presentation ③"Analysis of Hinge Caps Using サッカーベット“

Toyo Seikan Group Holdings, Ltd. uses サッカーベット to analyze the bending and closing of hinge caps. Since the hinge is subject to large deformation, the calculation is prone to divergency.

Therefore, it took a lot of effort to create the elements of the hinge, and the ‘u-p formulation’, based on a mixed method that solves nonlinear equations using hydrostatic stress (pressure) as an independent variable in addition to displacement, was adopted.

As a result, the initial hinge shape, which had poor fitting, was improved and the fitting condition was also improved,which was introduced in the case.

User サッカーベット Study Presentation ④ “Large-scale analysis of a long-span cable-stayed bridge toward the realization of a bridge digital twin”

In recent years, maintaining and managing social infrastructure facilities such as roads and bridges has become a social issue due to aging and a declining working population.

Toshiba Corporation has constructed a large-scale analysis model of an existing bridge towards the goal of realizing a bridge digital twin.

This presentation introduced a サッカーベット that the existing bridge was precisely reproduced entirely to achieve a highly accurate response, and the deformation behavior of a long-span bridge was successfully reproduced, which could not be reproduced with conventional models.
